Pharmacology

LE-Kare is a second-generation combined oral contraceptive containing levonorgestrel, a progestogen, and ethinylestradiol, a synthetic estrogen. Levonorgestrel inhibits ovulation, thickens cervical mucus, and induces endometrial changes unfavorable to implantation, while ethinylestradiol suppresses Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), stabilizes the endometrium, and ensures cycle control.
